The thesis deals with a theme that underlines an interesting architectural challenge within urban policies.
The phenomenon of gentrification has been deepened in the city of New York; for its economic centrality, heterogeneous social composition and cultural diversity is a perfect laboratory for the observation.
The aim of the project for the city was to counter the gentrification through the installation of a number of shelters.
